Nitin Sawhney's "The Search"

It starts off with almost ripple-like techno music, which is represented by the vector circles (brushes courtesy of a Vector_download pack here on dA) and then there are little branch off which are represented by smaller circles fading out. The sitars are introduced at this stage (in the black, brush created using stock from gettyimages.com) and more sitars - shown in orange. The tabla is then introduced as shown in white (also courtesy of gettyimages.com) and finally the primary sitar player, the protagonist of this piece, if you like, begins to play (gettyimages.com). The beautiful voice that accompanies the notes is represented by the swirls (created by me using the Porcelain font) and finally, the techno music that runs in the background is shown by the white ink splatter brushes (ABR brushes).

great idea this , to convey a piece of music visually in a single image. You ought to get in touch with the record company, this would make a superb cd cover for the track!
